Welcome First Time in Jeongdong Jang-gu Class!

Two travelers from Kuwait and Bahrain visited Jeongdong Theater to experience Korean traditional culture.
This event was the  collaboration of the Middle East Branch of Korea Tourism Organism and Jeongdong Theater.
The two participants are very famous Youtubers in their countries.

They looked around the theater receiving explanation about Jeongdong Theater’s performance and experience programs by an interpreter.
Also they broadcasted it through Instatram Live and introduce their audiences the theater.

   First of all, they experienced ‘Jang-gu Class’ in Jeongdong Maru.
They talked to the fans in their countries through the Live broadcasting and took pictures in front of the Jang-gu.

The class began with how to hold the stick and how to pronounce the sound.
“Dung” sound when hit both sides.
“Kung” sound when hit left side.
“Tta” sound when hit right side.
The two ladies followed well the sound.

Left Ftami (Kuwait, with 180 million followers) / Right Khawla (Bahrain, with 210 million followers)

They learned about Hwimori Jangdan (Fast Rhythm of Korea) and they were excited with it.
“Dung Dung KungTta Kung” “Dung TtaTta KungTta Kung” “KungTtaKung”
They learned these three rhythms and at the end they played the rhythms by them selved.

They seemed like to enjoy the rhythm!

Also, they saw a great music play by Yongwoo Nam who acted for Korean Mask Dance Musical “Dong-Dong”.
The music with Hwimori Jangdan captivated the two ladies.

Jang-gu Class with Korean instrument and Korean rhythm!
During a break, I asked them about their impression.
Khawla from Bharain siad  “It was fun but the terms were difficult”
Ftami from Kuwait who really enjoyed the rhythm said “It was easy and nice”
About the impression of Korea, they said “Everything is beautiful including foods, people, and the weather and I want to live here.”

Following the Jang-gu Class, they participate ‘Korean Dance Class’.
They learned the Korean dance beating with Korean traditional music.
They learned it easier than Jang-gu and they danced one song without instructor’s help.

They received the certificate after completing the Jang-gu Class and the Korean Dance Class!
Also, they received a pencil case which has very Korean traditional beauty.
One of their followers who planned to travel to LA said,
“I bought the flight ticket to Korea after seeing this Live”.

I hope many travelers visit Korea through this event
and they could imagine Jeongdong Theater thinking of Korea.
