On the opening day, 5th April 2018, at 3pm,
we had a ‘gosa‘ (a ritual ceremony in which food offering are made to a deity, praying for the deity to drive out evil spirits and bring good fortune) to pray for the good show of ‘The Palace: Tale of Jang Noksu’.
Here is the scene of ‘gosa’ on the stage of theater!
Before the first show, we had prepared the food for ‘gosa’.
The actor, actress and staff were preparing for the ‘gosa’ with the respectful mind.
We had done the table setting of ‘gosa’ and then putting up the flowers and pig head onto the table.
Jeon Jun Yeong actor was assisting for the ‘gosa’ preparation.
Choreographer Jang Hye Jin, director Oh Kyung Taek, and Jeongdong Theater’s director Son Sang Won, were showing their courtesy and respect towards ‘gosa’.
Praying for everything will be smooth and hoping for great prosperity~!
After that, all the staff gathered in front of the table of ‘gosa’, showing their courtesy and praying for the good show with prostration bow (Korean greeting where one bends his/her body as a show of respect).
‘The Palace: Tale of Jang Noksu’ had been kicked off from 5th April 2018,
which reinterprets and turns the evil image of Noksu to the best ‘artist’ in Joseon Dynasty,
and also is a traditional dance performance
which expresses the life story of the lady who seized the power in Joseon.
We hope that everyone love it and please continuous support us~!♡
