@noksutagram <The Palace: Tale of Jang Noksu> ‘2018 Welcome Daehak-ro Festival’ Performance
2018 Jeongdong Theater Tradition Series Performance
<The Palace: Tale of Jang Noksu>
The refreshing autumn sky!
This is Daehak-ro Marronnier Park where the air is filled with the scent of fall~
The reason we came to Marronnier Park!
It’s because <The Palace: Tale of Jang Noksu> was part of the opening ceremony of ‘2018 Welcome Daehak-ro Festival’ which will be held until October 31st 2018!
Shall we go back in time to visit the actual scene of the festival?
The opening ceremony of ‘2018 Welcome Daehak-ro Festival’ was held on a special stage at Marronnier Park!!
Preparation work is still ongoing and it’s 6PM, before the start of the performance!
Crowds of people came to the actual scene of the opening ceremony!
For this opening ceremony, Jeongdong Theater prepared three items under the title of our traditional performance <The Palace: Tale of Jang Noksu>!
One of the items was the beautiful Hwajeontae Dance performed along with graceful Korean tunes, followed by the Coloured Box Drum Dance with the cheerful rhythm of drums and the Pangut that matches the exciting rhythms of the drum!
Our team, made up of Nam Yongwoo, Lee Gisoo, Lee Jungdae from the percussion team and Kim Hana, Kim Hyesu, Kim Minjeong from the training team of Jeongdong Theater, prepared an outstanding performance at the festival! 🙂
Transformed into graceful performers!
There’s a saying that goes “a figure is formed at the presence of flowers” which describes the Hwajeontae Dance (花前態舞)!!
The dance techniques of royal court dances paired with beautiful traditional Korean hanbok revealed an even more elegant side!
Next up is the Coloured Box Drum Dance performed with adorable drums!!
Danced along to the cheerful beat, this is a creative Korean dance where you can feel the beauty of Korea and Korean tunes 🙂
Now, for the start of the performance!
Marronnier Park was already packed with people and Jeongdong Theater presented the beauty of traditional performances to the audience!
Korea’s beauty was revealed at ‘2018 Welcome Daehak-ro Festival’!
We will become the Jeongdong Theater who always strives to make the Korean culture widely known to the world 🙂
